Del Valle ISD partners with Austin Community College to provide our Early College High School (ECHS) young scholars with an educational opportunity to earn their high school diploma and an Associate of Arts degree simultaneously, while still in high school.
Benefits of ECHS
The opportunities for students are endless with Del Valle Early College High School! One of the major benefits of the ECHS is that tuition and textbooks are FREE. There is zero cost to students and families who apply and are accepted into ECHS. Our only ask is that students are ready and willing to become lifelong learners with an attitude of excellence in all they do!
ECHS students can participate in extracurricular activities during their freshman and sophomore years. However, the college course load increases during the junior and senior years, requiring careful consideration and planning to continue participating in both.
